Morrow County is a unique and special place to live and work. It seems that we are in the path of development, yet it is like pulling teeth to make anything happen. Many folks like our county just as it is, while others want growth and the better jobs that follow. This dilemma is not unlike that faced by other counties. However, given our location and growth rate, we must be prepared and do our best to influence the change that comes our way.
I have lived and worked in Morrow County for many years and have observed County Government as a private businessman and as a County Commissioner. County Government mirrors our society; we have done some things right and we have made terrible mistakes. We are upside down on what we own and our financial obligations are on the rise, while county income is in decline. We can and must do better!
The March 6th primary election offers a chance to do better. In the next column are listed the issues that I have selected as a place to begin the journey to better Morrow County Government. Because I can not do this alone, it is my hope that you will consider what I have said, tell me what you think and give me your support.
